Salman Masood is a Pakistani journalist who has been working as a Pakistan correspondent for the New York Times since 2003. He is also the Editor of Pakistani newspaper the Nation since 2020. The focus of his reporting has been on politics, international relations, and terrorism. In 2009, he contributed to the New York Times reporting team that won the Pulitzer Prize for coverage of Pakistan and Afghanistan. His writings have also appeared in several other local and international news publications, notably Janes Terrorism & Insurgency Monitor, the Guardian, the News and the Express Tribune. In 2013-2014, he acted as the editor of Pique, a political and lifestyle magazine. He wrote for Abu Dhabi based the National from 2008-2011. He has appeared as an analyst/guest speaker on the New York Times Public Radio, CNN and several Pakistani news TV networks. Salman Masood lives in Islamabad, Pakistan.
