A story of Two religions, Two identities, One nation – in the back drop of Kashmir
This book is not a story of war. This book is not a story of hate, either. This is a story of hope, a fragile flame flickering in a dark, gloomy storm, uprooting kindness and love in it. Centred around the Kashmiri Pandit exodus, this book is a story of about two six year old innocent kids who were unfortunately divided by their religion. Their friendship was a paradox in this turmoil. The author, aged 12, has written this book by taking inspiration from the real anecdotes of Kashmiri Pandits.
This book is a fictional account of those unheard voices. This book is an initiative to capture those unheard voices in words. This is the story of two families, who even though belonged to the two opposite sides, who were supposed to stay enemies by the society, supported each other through thick and through thin.
This story is a story about trust, longing, desperation to meet a lost loved one again and friendship. But moreover, this is a story about hope. Hope, that one day, the innocent thread of relations broken by these conflicts might join again, two separated people might meet again.
