Don’t let menopause hold you back from doing things you love.
Dr Amrinder’s book has collated the multiple symptoms and stages of menopause and vocalizes them through her female leads. By doing so, her message, ‘Menopause is the end of Menstruation, not the end of the World,’ becomes loud and clear. The book mentions stories from patients she has encountered throughout her career and experiences she has faced herself. She counters these worries with sarcastic jabs at patriarchy and Dr Google and offers practical and helpful medical advice. Most of all, the book strives to help women become more open about this phase in their lives and embrace ageing in a direct and approachable manner. Be it cold sweats and hot flashes at the workplace, incessant mood swings or wetting your underwear at a wedding, every experience urges women to never hesitate to ask for medical and professional help- and that they do not have to deal with them alone
